Fox makeovers for KDFW, KRIV, and KTBC?

Apparently all the Fox O&Os will be getting makeovers to basically look like local versions of the Fox News Channel. WNYW 5 New York, WTVT 13 Tampa Bay, and KTVI 2 St Louis already (fox5ny.com, wtvt.com, ktvifox2.com) have the new look -- all the logos converted to a Fox News Channel-like logo, etc. WNYW is using something like "the most powerful name in local news" as a slogan.

Since apparently all the Fox O&Os will be getting made over, when do KDFW 4 Dallas/Fort Worth, KRIV 26 Houston, and KTBC 7 Austin get made over?

I don't think it's a Fox mandate or trend or anything, just a few of them going with a similar logo. I bet some of the Fox O & O's keep the same logo...
It's been pointed out on Fybush.com that Fox 5 is sharing news operations with Fox News Channel.

No, it's not apparent!

If true, it'll be a stupid move in ultra-ilberal Austin. It'll drive viewers away in droves if they get chummy with the GOP-friendly Fox News Channel.

Actually, it is true. Directly from Roger Ailes through new Fox TV Boss Dennis Swanson. A memo was circulated back before the new year that all Fox O&O's are to assume the Fox News look. It also includes similar looks for all the stations' websites. You'll finally see KRIV get a website. They've been told to get it up ASAP. For the record, it's not the look, it's the content that would disrupt the tree-hugging Austin crowd. They'll be free to report the news in the manner they have been accustomed to.

The question remains. FOX does News?So did Tass and Pravda according to their chiefs as well.

Yes, Complex, Fox does news and they do it better than your beloved CNN and MSNBC. Fox News consistently outranks CNNMSNBC combined, so the masses must be watching Fox for a reason.

Amazing how a simple post about a television station logo can turn political.

You mean KRIV is finally moving into the 21st century? I guess it took someone in an authoritative position had to kick that lame GM in the ass. It's amazing that guy is still around.

Sorry Bubba ..MY "beloved" CNN I do not watch all that much nor MSNBC. FOX is political..no getting around it. Their "NEWS" is a hybrid of People magazine meets the National Enquirer, with a dash of The National Review, and a smidgen of Entertainment Tonight.

Well, it's a definite that KTBC gets it...no timetable yet, though. They apparently have some technical issues in getting the new graphics packages up and running.

You'll finally see KRIV get a website. They've been told to get it up ASAP.
When? Can't wait for a website like KDFW's. I skip over them when I check for updates. I thought ABC 13 was slow but FOX 26 is worse. At least something else besides a splash page and a few links to the networks, program guide, and ratings guide. Will KTXH have a seperate section or a another website just for them?

The website you currently see for KDFW will get a MAJOR makeover - soon. The KRIV site will look a lot like the new KDFW site. All the Fox O&O sites will look similar.

I'm sure KRIV is kicking and screaming through the entire process. Their GM and Sales Manager are technology idiots and have prevented the website from going up for over 5 years. I'm sure it will be only as adequet as is acceptable to the Fox suits in corporate HQ. If work is involved, KRIV's management gets angry. WORK: that's a four letter word.
