Fox News Cuts Off Interview With Critical Author

I love how so many people love being in a "gotcha" mode with Fox News. While they do cross into the right lane sometimes, after watching the interview, I honestly don't think this was the case.

When you are coming on as a guest on a show, you should have no expectations into how long the interview is going to be. The guest really didn't offer anything new and chances are because of that and because they were probably running heavy on the rundown, the interviewer brought the interview to a close. What the public doesn't see (and is not supposed to see), when the anchor is interviewing, he has a producer yelling in his ear that he/she is running into a hard break and needs to get out of the segment. FNC's commercial breaks are all computer-controlled programmed hard breaks with no leeway of when it falls.

When was the last time you saw someone critical of MSNBC being interviewed on MSNBC? Oh that's right...you haven't. FNC gives a platform for the other side. MSNBC won't even let the other side in the building.

Does that include Joe Scarborough, a conservative former congressman? ???

Scarborough is a conservative, but has the unmitigated gall to criticize the Republican party for their mis-steps, especially when they cozy up to Tea-party nut jobs.

To most right-wing purists, this no doubt makes him a "RINO" (Republican in Name Only,) and therefore a de-facto liberal.

You obviously haven't been watching MSNBC because they allow both parties on there.

For what it's worth, the subject of this thread (author Tom Ricks) was asked about his decision to turn down an invitation to appear on MSNBC. He said; "Fox really seems to sell outrage as its product, and MSNBC doesn't as much. But they both seem to me to be running political campaigns almost more than they are running news networks. So I don't particularly like either. That said, I'm not a fan of TV news generally. I think it's a lousy place to get your information from."

Amen to that.

Oh, you were serious about that? ::)

Remind me again which Fox News anchor threatened to burn down the Fox News building like Ed Schultz did to the MSNBC building after he was left out of election night promos.
