I just got my dad Sirius for Christmas so looks like it's even.

This is good though, Sirius needs an all news feed. Glad to hear they are replacing it with CNN Headline News.

I love that all the neoconned G Dub lovers are moving to XM, makes sirius a place for people who are openminded thinkers. For all the fools abandoning Sirius because they dropped the "right sided" fox news channel, too bad. Most of you will be back when NASCAR moves over in 2007

If you can even get through against the swarm of people signing up for Stern....

Siriusly, they might offer you a retention deal but they really aren't going to care if a handful of people who absolutely NEED to hear a soundtrack channel on a satellite radio service cancel. It's right up there with people phoning in to cancel if they get rid of a channel like Bloomberg or E! on XM.

The addition of channels like CBC Radio 1 more than makes up for the loss of a lousy TV soundtrack channel that is hard enough to follow with all the ridiculous Fox News sound spurts they throw at you with the Fox graphics.

I also suspect you're one of maybe a dozen people who sat by the radio and noticed it this morning. :)

Fox News is a special case for a lot of folks on the right who are moaning about it on the blogs as some "liberal conspiracy." The same moaning happened with Air America going exclusively with XM being a "right wing conspiracy." Some people blamed Sirius even though it was AAR's own doing. In this case Fox got super greedy and demanded a massive rate increase for a lousy TV soundtrack channel -and- they wanted Sirius to also carry their Fox News Radio channel. Sirius decided they could live without John Gibson and Tony Snow. They ultimately didn't care then and they especially don't care now considering the megabucks they are raking in with new subs for Stern.

I have xm and they still have Fox News.They will also be soon getting the Fox Talk Channel sometimes in January I forget the date.I have to admit I like Fox News myself.

Fox News Talk started today on channel 168 (XM only). Tony Snow is on now.

I agree, how weird...To have the service only for something like a TV network... I could see cnaceling if a person ahd it for the NFL or NBA and they were dropped (I won't put the NHL in the mix, since they are gone to XM in 07 as it stands now)

You know, there is an invention out there called a VCR and another called TIVO, they record things you can't watch as they happen...

You'll be replaced by my subscription. I'm glad to see the bandwidth is no longer being wasted.
 
I was also a FOX fan. I went to Best Buy and looked at XM today. I haven't decided if I am going to flip yet. I have 4 cars w/Sirus and flipping to XM will be a pain in the rear. I think I might gradually change over. If you think about it Fox doesn't need Sirius. I think XM is a better fit for Fox anyways. The Number 1 cable news Network and the Number 1 Satellite radio provider. Kind of goes hand-in-hand.
