Fox News Logo Green

First it was the networks of NBC Universal their logos went green for green week then a few weeks after CNN had their logo green for their series. To add both CNN and the networks of NBC did this same thing last year. Now FOX News has a green logo. Anyone know why? I haven't heard nothing. Could be just to copy cat. Don't tell me its their Christmas logo.

It was confirmed via a source on last night's "Countdown" program that the new color scheme was indeed for a "holiday logo". Keith Olbermann wondered if Bill O'Reilly would now be at war with Fox News, since they now use what the network is calling a "holiday logo", as opposed to what Bill-O really wants, which is a "Christmas logo"...

Yeah, I'd totally believe everything Keith Olbermann says. Having said that, it seems a bit lame to turn the Fox News logo green to me, not very original anymore.

They could of at least made the logo look like a Christmas tree or something.

And while on the topic of logos. Why isn't ABC using their snowflake logo?

Would anyone be surprised if both MSNBC and Fox News followed in the footsteps of CNN and copy their new rotating ticker?

I just wish all these people would do away with their ANNOYING animated logos. The rotating Fox News cube, CNN's pictures swooshing around beside their logo. I noticed during the Presidential debates that even ABC was using a rotating logo. That is the most distracting thing in the whole wide world. What ever happened to the days of a static logo?

Didn't CNN copy ESPN's bottomline? As the scores scroll up for the next scores come on. As for the other two news channels they could use the same idea but what about having the text scroll down instead of up. Something the same but different too.

Good point. But don't forget, the Bottom Line occasionally scrolls when a story byline isn't big enough to fit on the screen.

Also, is it just me, or when the ticker scrolls on ESPNews, does it always seem to start off as if someone was pushing it like a car with a dead battery? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Watch ESPNews and pay attention, you'll see what I mean.

The days of the static logo may be gone, unless you own a plasma screen TV. I've seen two with the CNN logo permanently burned in. Each was in a break room where I worked. Although with LCD and DLP overtaking Plasma I susspect the screen saver logo's time has come and gone. 8)
