I thought XM had the exclusive rights to Fox News Talk. Will this be a simulcast of what's on TV or will it be original shows for the radio?

Nope, no exclusivity for XM, it just took Sirius a couple months longer to cut their deal. It will be the same programming.

I wonder if CNN Headline News is going to stay.

And I hope Sirius Patriot is getting the boot in favor of Fox News Talk. That would make sense, because 90% of the FNT channel is conservative.

Yup, both channels same a XM, FNC and FNT. Heard it on The Fox Report on FNC while driving home on my new XM that I got right after Christmas that replaced the Sirius in my car.

Sirius Release: FNC on 131, FNT on 145

Here's the official word from Sirius:

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/Page&c=FlexContent&cid=1139320911119>http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/Page&c=FlexContent&cid=1139320911119</a>

"NEW YORK - February 17, 2006 - SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced a new long term agreement to carry FOX News and FOX News Talk channels beginning March 14th.

The previous agreement between FOX and SIRIUS expired at the end of 2005. FOX News, which has more viewers than all other cable news networks combined, now rejoins SIRIUS' broad lineup of news and information at channel 131.

FOX News Talk channel, which offers news, analysis, listener call-ins, and commentary from popular FOX News personalities such as Bill O'Reilly, Tony Snow, John Gibson, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren and Alan Colmes, among others, will air on channel 145."

145 right now is the RIGHT talk channel...no idea if that will change, and if they'll move/merge it with Patriot.

I noticed they messed up the press release. Sean is on ABC News and Talk not Fox News Talk, unless they mean the repeat of Hannity and Colmes at 7am.
