Isn't it odd that both 680 WRKO and !200 Rush Radio WXKS are running Fox Radio News?
WRKO has been with Fox for a while. Many stations running Rush and other conservative talk hosts switched to Fox a few years ago. But now that Clear Channel has set up a new Boston talk station to compete with WRKO and removed Rush and Coast to Coast from WRKO's line up, you'd think WRKO would give up being a Fox Radio affiliate.
Rush Radio 1200 at the top of the hour runs a couple of minutes of local news (I suppose using Metro Traffic newscasters) followed by a one-minute Fox News update. (Do they record it from the half-hour for replay at :04?) So the two stations are not running the same Fox newscast. But it is still odd for two competing stations to share the same network, especially when WRKO could affiliate with ABC, CNN, etc.
