FOX running TV campaign to get back on Cirus-xm SAT radio

Guess their shows were dropped from satellite and now they are advertising on TV for people to lobby to get them back on the bird.

Apparently their absense from the XM side of Sirius was shortlived, I punched in channel 114 around 6PM EST and Fox News was there, however earlier today, I went to the XM streaming and there even though the display indicated Fox News Radio; there was a recorded loop indicating that Fox News Radio was not on the stream and then the recording went on to lest the several alternate conservative talk and news channels.

XM 114 (Fox News Channel) wasn't removed that's the simulcast of the TV channel. It was XM 126 (Fox News Talk) that was removed which is an actual talk radio channel with a (mostly) different lineup. It had talk hosts such as Tom Sullivan, Spencer Hughes, Alan Colmes (now that he is no longer on FNC), John Gibson, etc.

As far as I can tell 126 has been permanently removed from the XM side.

Well, I guess that is a mystery that is still unresolved!

I don't understand why they deleted the Radio Radio News channel and if they had some valid reason, why it was only deleted on the XM side?

Spentsor Huhges? Is he still around? No wonder they dropped him, he went from KGO, to KSFO, to KFBK, to KSRO, to the net...fastest shrinking career in radio.

Interesting... folks sure fight for bird time

I can only assume they were getting paid a decent fee for that channel. It didn't run any of the barter inventory that Premiere feeds out to affiliates. Other than that I don't see why satellite time is so important to a lot of syndicated shows. You can't generate a ratings book out of Sirius XM so there's no data for network advertising. Still, when shows lose an affiliate here and there, there's not a lot said, but I've heard syndicated shows throw away entire segments to address having been or being soon dropped from Sirius XM.
