Fox Saturday baseball

Just curious here ...
This afternoon here in Columbus, Ohio, we were scheduled to see Cardinals-Cubs but instead saw most of Diamondbacks-Braves because the Cubs game was under a lengthy rain delay. I left home for an hour at 4, then got home to find out the Cubs were underway but we weren't seeing them. Did Fox opt to show STL-Cubs just in the home markets or did it drop the game completely? Either answer wouldn't surprise me. Fox is a little screwed in its MLB coverage.
Anyone else think it would be nice to see a doubleheader each Saturday regardless of your location?

In Fort Wayne, IN we saw the entire Cubs-Cards game. Don't know what aired here early in the afternoon.

Yes, it would be nice to see two games every week. It would also be nice if Fox got rid of Kevin & Jeanie. I just realized today how annoying these two are.

Interesting, in Toledo they only showed the Braves-DBacks game and then went back to local programming following the quick recap/update of other games "Here's how things are going in the second inning of games you can't watch!".

I don't demand a doubleheader from Fox, if they would allow MLB to LIFT THE DAMN BLACKOUT on MLB.tv/Extra Innings for other games airing on Saturday afternoons.

And yeah, Kennedy and Zelasko (especially the latter) are horrible.....but then, so are many of the game announcers Fox uses.

My gripe about MLB on Fox is that the PHX
market almost always gets a 4pm ET game.

Today of course was an exception as the D-Backs
at ATL was one of their 1pm ET games.

It's not like KSAZ-TV has boffo big numbers
programming to offer from 10am-1pm PT.

So we usually miss seeing the "big" Fox game--
Yankees/Red Sox or a similar matchup--even if
by doing so we'd be stuck listening to Buck
and McCarver! Is there something ingrained
into MLB's mindset that since PHX is an NL
city, we must get an NL game? Even if it's
DEN vs. HOU?

Speaking of having to put up with Buck and
McCarver (or maybe not having to), in some
spot views of the Fox game over a few weeks
I've noticed that if I turn the audio to SAP
it's just crowd noise--sans announcers!

That little trick works great for football too! Just helmets cracking, grunts and the crowd. I do it for all Fox Sports broadcasts.

Occasionally on the high profile baseball games (and playoffs & World Series) they have a Cuban dude and a Dominican on doing the play by play in spanish. I'm Cuban too so I speak Spanish, and those two guys are really good, they are funny and tell good stories. Nice change of pace.

Good thing you hipped people to the SAP. The Buck-less "sounds of the game" is awesome, but I wonder, why would FOX allow an anouncerless secondary channel? Obviously it's intentional because I checked it out last MLB and NFL seasons every week.

Rockford got the entire game.

Good question. However, for at least the last three years they've been offering it on NFL games as well. Unfortunately, said track is not available on satellite (dish Network) as far as I can tell. Drat!

This track would also come in handy if you're the proprietor of a sports bar. With all the noise there who can hear the annoucers anyway?

BTW: During game action the only time you hear the announcers on this side channel is just before and after they hand off to studio for a "Game Break".
