Note the 2021 World Series is up again but less than the record from 2019.
 
Houston vs Atlanta was an even matchup. Atlanta was a surprise team that started very slow, but got hot in the latter part of the season. It was a solid World Series. It's impossible not to like Dusty Baker. He's a class act.

Last year had the big market LA Dodgers, but the games were played in Texas. This year felt like more of a normal World Series which probably led to the ratings increase...
 
Rob Manfred (MLB commissioner) was hoping for something along the lines of markets 1 and 2 but got 7 and 8. With the numbers the Series got (especially the clincher), I wouldn't be complaining.
 
I thought that the ratings would do better this year as it wasn't in a bubble and a packed house than a few hundred fans like last year.
