Fox Sports Radio Returns to Bako?

Saw a sales sheet on the streets of Bakersfield...Fox Sports Radio 970. Looks like Clear Channel is finally going to try to do something with KHTY. Its been a mess since they let Rush Limbaugh go to KNZR, and most recently was Spanish talk. Didn't they have Fox Sports a few years ago on another frequency? I wonder if the boys at KGEO are shaking at all?

By the way, you don't "see a sales sheet" on the streets of Bakersfield.I'd probably gamble on you "seeing a not so subtle *hint*" on some of their sales people's personal web pages. That's how my wife found out.Her boss has an adult/child who is rather well-connected when it comes to the "internets" hehehe.
The adult/child showed her dad the online rumor thinking he would be interested in passing it along to the sports reporter.
Her dad saw the "rumor spreader" and laughed!!! He then made his daughter promise never to be an attention w___re.

Actually, one of my clients showed me CC's one sheet on it. He was pitched the new station. I'm looking forward to a full time sports station frankly.
 
Let's say Fox Sports does launch in Bakersfield. Then what?
They will place syndicated filler on the air and certainly will not invest in local talent (this CC we're talking about right?)
Good luck pulling a 1 share. Effort in futility.

KGEO is an ESPN affiliate and has the only local franchise worth anything in the Condors and Costello has a decent show in the afternoon.

Maybe KGEO could give us back a little hot talk?

Hard to imagine that CC isn't looking for a baseball team as well.

It sure is nice to hear Dan Patrick again.
