FOX SPORTS: THE WORST COVERAGE...

C

Am I alone in thinking that Fox Sports has the worst all around coverage of baseball. Watched my Sox WIN last night and watched all the other 6 games but the camera shots are terrible. Fox will do tight shots so that you can't see the other players on the field in lets say a double play action or other movements on the field. Its like watching the game with blinders on.

In addition, the guys NEVER stop talking about senseless stats while things are happening in the game.

Finally, why does FOX cover up the pitch count with the speed of the pitch. Seems they could add another space on screen title bar.
By the time the pitch is thrown you never know if it is the 3 Ball of 2 Strike.

ESPN and our local NESN do a much better job all around.
How many more years left on the Fox Sports Contract with MLB?

The biggest problem with Fox is the insipid baboon named Tim McCarver.

Agreed. We are forced to listen to Tim McCarver and Joe Buck. The apple fell far from the Jack Buck tree with Joey. And listening to McCarver with his inane comments is painfull. TBS was far superior with the NL coverage. The TV ratings are in the tank and FOX continues with Buck and McCarver.

Fox is trying to throw in as many jazzy snazzy graphics in the picture as possible. Yesterday during Cowboys/Vikings, they unveiled "at the line" which is a three-camera view at the line of scrimmage toward the red zone. At least it's the first time I seen it. Remember, this is the same network that gave you the glowing puck during NHL coverage. What else do you expect from Fox Sports?

That's how FOX distracts viewers from the painful truth: their baseball coverage sucks!

I'm none too happy that they cover three of the four major bowl games and the BCS National Championship, either.

Call me crazy, but I actually like FOX Sports coverage of MLB this year considering they don't have the junk of year's past.

All they need to broadcast from October is an LCS, and The World Series until 2013 with a GOOD announcing team. instead of many other non-complementary

announcers.

I like Tim McCarver, he isn't that full of himself, and he communicates alright with Joe Buck.

That being said, I do have an issue or two with them, mostly on when they go back to break, you almost miss the first pitch on

one commerical break that I saw last night.

And there are always periods of dead air with the postseason coverage (TBS and NBC had it too) SPEAK MAN!

It's not that bad, that's how I see it.

Some actually appreciate intervals in the game where announcers decide not to seize the opportunity to "jump at the table" and let the game speak for itself (see: "ESPN's Monday Night Football").

In tribute to Keith Olbermann I should have said "Fox Sports - The Worst Coverage In The World"

So which NewsCorp division do you work for?
