This is a sour repeat of the drama that played out recently in the New York City market. Fox was off TW Cable in the tri-state region right at the moment the NFL season was getting going (and Fox was carrying all the Giants games) and the World Series was about to begin. Fox 5, Fox News and other Fox-owned channels were off cable in NYC for several days. Rupert Murdoch finally got a boatload of carriage money from TW and viewers got their shows back (along with Glenn Beck's nightly bipolar displays).
Upstate, Fox cable networks other than the basic over-the-air net may not go away because the beef this time appears to be between Time-Warner and Sinclair, which owns the Fox affiliates in the upstate region and wants more $$$ to carry them(although they rented out operation of the Rochester station to Nexstar, owner of CBS affiliate WROC, which appears to be caught in the middle).
