Fox10 Is An Embarrassment!

During tonight's UCLA-ASU football game KSAZ ran a weather alert banner across the screen several times and each time there was a very embarrassing knowledge mistake.

Fox10, please note there are no counties in Arizona named "Mountain" or "Hannigan".

Fox10 already owns the Not Ready For A Live Remote championship among Phoenix TV stations and now it adds to the ineptness with this bit of professional suicide.

With the total lack of good programming and incompetent presentation I really wonder how this station keeps its license.

I found Fox 10 to be a very dry Fox station, in fact most of Arizona TV seemed pretty lackluster. I now have DirectTV for their 'Breathtaking' HD, yet they can't bring me my local stations in HD. Go figure?

Some weather alert systems probably automatically insert "County". In Arizona there will often be non-county alert areas for watches and warnings, given how large the counties are. It's probably a default. We have alert areas like "Greater Phoenix Area", "Colorado River Valley" and "Northeast Plateaus".

What's really bad? To run the alerts, the feed switches to SD. Horrible quality for 15-30 seconds around the alert.

All the Phoenix locals are in HD on DirecTV. I've never had a problem getting HD on any local channel. Perhaps there's something wrong with your receiver?

Well I live a block away from Arizona and get the California locals!

DirecTV makes it very clear that depending on where you live you may or may not get the locals in HD. My City is 300 miles away, I even get a delay when they insert spot breaks.
