Frank Carpano News Anchor

Did anyone see Frank anchoring the 6pm Sunday newscast? Is this a prelude to something to come? I know he used to anchor the 10pm newscast with Nicole Livas on channel 28 when it first came the air. I think he sounded good, alot better then he does sports to be honest.

I wonder if they're trying different people in case Doug White is unable to return.

I don't expect Doug back as a full-timer,though I hope he's well. I doubt NBC will hire an anchor if they are thinking of selling JAR,so maybe Frank will fill-in on Sundays when he does extended sports, like they do on WCVB.

When Frank anchored the 10'oclock news it was supposed to be a transition from sports to news anchor.
WJAR stated they wanted a younger face doing sports so they were wheening Frank into anchoring.
Now with the CW debuting in September and WJAR up for sale. Maybe WJAR is trying to get back into the 10'oclock news game.
The 10' oclock hour on WLWC will be free now once UPN and WB go belly up for the new CW network.
Maybe WJAR has it's eyes on running WLWC again.
NBC wanted them (WJAR) to dump WLWC.
Can WJAR operate WLWC and WPXQ at the same time and have 2 UHF's?

Anyone but Larry Estepa. That guy is absolutely horrible. He's got the on air personality of a wall.
