Frank Cody, Smooth Jazz Programmer

Here is an interesting one Frank Cody worked for KLOS when it was in Albuquerque. As we know those call letters moved to Los Angeles in 1968 and would later work for the LA edition of KLOS.

Later he was known for flipping KMET-FM to KTWV The Wave.

Cody began his radio career at age 15 at KLOS Albuquerque. After ABC grabbed the call letters for its legendary rock station in Los Angeles and named Cody PD, he earned the distinction of being the only person to work at both the Albuquerque and L.A. KLOS.

In the early 1980s, Cody become Program Director of NBC’s young adult radio network “The Source” where he guided the development of “Dr. Ruth,” “Live from the Hard Rock Café with Paul Shaffer,” “The Jazz Show with David Sanborn” and executive produced more than 50 live-via-satellite concerts.
