Frank Foley back on Worcester Radio?

In today’s Worcester Telegram & Gazette, there was an Ad for 100 FM The Pike. It stated that Frank Foley kidnapped 100 FM The Pike yesterday. Then it asked the question, “How far will this desperate man go?” listen today between 3 and 7 p.m.

So it looks like Frank (last heard at WCRN) may be back on Worcester radio. Seeing he had formerly worked mornings many years ago at WXLO 104.5 FM, this would be a homecoming of sorts with the Worcester Citadel broadcasting group.

Bruce Palmer just mentioned a little while ago this morning that Frank was on yesterday afternoon and may be on again this afternoon.

Maybe he's practicing for a return to one of his former stations. Didn't he once team with Steve Donavon in mornings at WXLO? Perhaps yet another change in WXLO mornings is coming up?? Is someone's contract about to expire?? Will we soon have the Oldies 103 morning show with Zito, Karen, Jen, and Sully?

As Arsenio Hall used to say: Things that make you say Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ;D

I listened yestrday afternoon and Frank Foley is indeed back on Worcester radio from 3 to 7 p.m. on 100 FM The Pike. Frank confirmed that he has the gig and thanked the Citadel Group GM of the Worcester cluster for giving him this opportunity.

Nothing on the web site yet.

Speaking of the web site, I wonder why they never changed the calls and web address when they changed to classic hits as the Pike. Their web address is still thefoxfm.

It's common for the previous website address to still work after a format change. The address that they promote is worcesterpike.com

Thanks! :)

Moments ago (4pm-ish), I heard my first Frank Foley promo on The Pike. Frank mentioned how he conned them into giving him the afternoon drive slot and that we should tune in to see how he does.

I work out in the Boston area during that time of day and out of the station's range (and nowhere near a computer). Who has listened to his first couple of days? How's he done? I've heard him a couple of times in the past subbing for Bruce in the morning and thought he did a good job.

Any connection between Frank and a DJ on WEIM named Tom Foley many years ago?
