Much to my discomfort,my co-worker listens to Frank Ski in the mornings. Why does he insist on talking so loud? Even if the volume is low,I can still hear his big mouth. What is the appeal of his show? ???
He comes across having a big ego along with bragging about the celebrities he knows. He also plays the race card defending people like: Wayne Williams, Bill Campbell,Bobby Brown.

V-103 needs to change the station slogan: The Peoples Station. They been using it that slogan the last several years. Get a new slogan!!!
 
Doug and Ryan Stewart had the same issues with screaming into the mic. Apparently, some jocks think that the mic is a prop and they have to yell so everyone in the city can hear them.

V103's new slogan - The NEW Peoples Station. Radio 101; when in doubt, call it new. Q100 was "new" for about five years. The River has been "new" for 17 months. Heck, Rodney Ho still calls his wife "new" and they've been married for over 10 years.
 
In fairness to Rodney he suffers from short-term memory loss. So everything old is new again on a daily basis.

Ski, The Two Live Stews, and Ryan Cameron have to speak louder so that the majority of their listeners can hear them over the roar of the MARTA train.

Wooder---THAT has got to be one of the funniest lines I have ever seen on this board. Ever.
 
V103's slogan seems to be working fine according to their rank in arbitron. As well as their personalities. The bragging about knowing celebrities does get kind of ridiculous but Ski definitely isn't yelling. He's only setting up a constroversial tone in his voice for a particular topic.

It's entertainment and it works for V's ratings.

I think V and Q should do another mixer and try to once again defy the lines of racial animosity.

How would defending someone equate to 'playing the race card' ?
 
What I meant by the race card is that Frank Ski defends Wayne Williams,Bobby Brown & Bill Campbell as victims of The Man a.k.a. Whitey.
Frank tried to get the courts to reopen the Wayne Williams case. He pushed to get Bobby Brown out of jail after one of Bobbys several arrests here in Atlanta. He defended Bill Campbell when Bill was on trial for Corruption & Tax Evasion. Mr.Ski defense for all three was reverse racism. It was none of the indivuals own fault & judgement. It was The Man thats who.
