Frank TV commercial

The Frank TV commercial has been alll over local television. It seems, mostly as bookends.

The spot points out that they run commercial free nine to noon. And “that’s OVER three hours of commercial free hits”

9AM to 12:00PM would be exactly (not over) three hours.

Maybe the 3 hours begin at 8:59AM and end at 12:01PM? That's over 3 hours, isn't it? :-*

They way I figure it, it IS over 3 hours if you count from after the 8:50 stopset until the 12:20 (or 12:35, I forget).
The ad should read "3 hours of commercial-free 300-song generic pablum all our other stations play"

I guess, more importantly, what is anyone else doing at this time, to market their media properties?

Media Buyer - have you noticed anyone else using tv or direct mail...anything?

Or are they just sending their little account executives out on the street to tell every business why they need to advertise, when they may not practice what they preach.

None the less the ad states "nine to noon. That's over three hours of commercial free hits". Uh - no, it is not.
If you'd stopped thinking like a radio geek there NH Radio, and actually hear what the copy of the ad said, you'd hear what a regular listener hears.

And adbuyer - good point. Frank was on early with their spots and I haven't seen anyone elese in the market on TV or doing direct mail. Not to say nobody ilse isbuying the old GRP's - I just haven't seen them... but we've only been at ou place for about a week after months in FLA.

I'm aware what the damn ad copy said. I just pointed out it's really over 3 hours. Maybe Nassau should just say that. I hope you're comfy up in that ivory tower.
