Frank X

with all the talk of hy lit......i was wondering what happened to frank x..........

if i am not mistaken.....after his "air talent" days were over...wasn't he GM of WIFI ????

after that i lost track......

Unless I'm forgetting something, the last time I heard of him was when he did weekends (weekend mornings?) on WWDB. That ended around 1990 or '91, when Dominic Quinn returned to the station following the blowup of WCAU.

George, I believe Frank X was also PD At WYSP for a few years.

Frank X. was also the 20th president of the Radio Pioneers of Philadelphia in 1981-82.

He may have been a little higher up the food chain than PD at WYSP as well. I do remember him from there as well as WIBG and 'DB.

You are correct.

But the real question -- are Frank X. Feller and Melvin X. Melvin -- the same guy? I recall Melvin from boston radio-- WMEX. someone tried to tell me once-- Melvin X. Melvin was JJ Jeffrey. I don't think so!

Frank X. Feller was Frank X. Fellem in real life. Doubtful he was a Melvin.
