Frank Zappa on KROQ

KROQ was basically the underground music of the time. Today, there are thousands of different undergrounds....all online. Terrestrial radio is unlikely to serve that purpose with youth. The mainstream kids are satisfied with KIIS and AMP. But anyone seeking something different and new is going to be wanting interactivity. Terrestrial radio is one-way communication.

Time has come and gone, but it was a good time.

Really dating myself here...Zappa used to sit in with Les Carter on KPPC fairly often around '69-'70. It was clear to me that on most of these occasions, they were high. Talk about anarchy.
