Franken FMs - Stereo (encoding)

Now that Franken FMs (at least a few of them) can stay OTA for a while longer, has anyone proposed changing the Stereo (encoding) to that of stereo FM rather than NTSC/MTS?

Currently, due to their lineage as an NTSC audio carrier, they are restricted to using NTSC/MTS encoding for stereo audio, which no car radio can decode.

I used to have a boombox (Panasonic RX5030) with a stereo pilot adjustment pot inside that I once rototweebulated downwards a few kHz to hear KOIN in stereo. It sounded very strange.

I hadn't read anything about the stereo coding of Franken FMs (I assumed it was restricted to MTS), thanks for clarifying the issue.

WNYZ-LP always used the MPX FM stereo system with 75 kHz deviation, not the MTS TV stereo system with 25 kHz deviation.

WRME-LP in Chicago also used 75 kHz deviation. YouTuber Bob Andersen used their signal when restoring vintage TVs and he commented on how much louder their audio was than that of a normal TV signal.
