Franken Still Dubious about AAR

Al Franken was in the Situation Room today with Wolf Blitzer promoting his new book. After the usual litany of politcal questions, Blitzner asked Franken about his statement suggesting that AAR was having cash flow problems. i.e. "there is no cash flowing to me." Franken said "well I did a show today and I think that I am doing a show tomorrow." Not a very enthusuiastic endorsement.

That is classic Al Franken dry wit humor. Taking that statement as an indication he is not enthusiastic about Air America makes you the butt of his joke, I'm afraid.

truer words were never uttered. He is an outstanding comedy writer. He is, at best, a mediocre live talent, as evidenced by his departure from SNL. Read 'Live from New York' sometime for a behind the scene glimpse of Franken, and how he quit like a baby when he didn't get 'Weekend Update' . Lorne Micheals knew he didn;t have the timing down enough to get the job done.

Thanks, but there are plenty great Americans on the right, just gotta wonder where all the great ones on the left have gone.

Now more than ever we need responsible honest opposition to the right, but it is nowhere to be found.

Instead we have the hypocratic party on an endless Foley loop, but really it says all you need to know about them. They are all attacking this guy for having sex chats to a person who as it turns out might have been 18 at the time. Yet, these same libs re-elected a guy, Gerry Studds, 6 times after knowing that he had sex with an underage boy.

I don’t know how one can support the left and be a decent person, let alone a great one. That is not to say that republicans are great, there are some real a-holes on the right. However the evil on the left, the lies, hypocrisy, hate, division and distortion is truly unmatched by any other Americans at any other time in our nations history.

I welcome a lib to tell me why they feel a guy who had sex chats should resign, when you re-elected a known child molester 6 times. If he had sex with the “kid” would that have been better? Couldn’t be that the party is everything could it? Couldn’t be that the division in this nation rests solely at the hands of the hypocrats of the hypocratic party?
