I'd say WQSG is more comparable to the Moody stations under the WGNR umbrella. They play a healthy dose of CCM (a format that Lafayette should have on-air 24/7 with all the religious stations now on the air in the market), but they also air quite a bit of inspirational talk programs, especially in the evening.
Just how many "fire and brimstone" people are really living in Lafayette these days? Can 4 religious stations (3 of which contain quite a bit of preaching and inspirational talk) survive in Lafayette?
WQSG has quite a signal. I can get them from the Indiana-Illinois border all the way past Kokomo. Aren't they on the WSHW tower?
