Frankie Day WKFB 770

October 27, is Frankie days 70th Birthday. Frankie has put 770 on the map Both here and in Philly.
Happy Birthday Frankie. God has Blessed you.

I had no idea. Why land's sake, he is older than me. Will anybody play the doo-wop hits when Terry, Frankie, and Porky can't flip the switch no more?

I'm back home in the Burgh this week and have made sure to aircheck several hours of WKFB. Do they have any plans to get even a website, let alone streaming?

I think you could get more than a few volunteers on this board.

Try this link.

Frankie Day is one of the most positive people I know, and he's been able to carve out a second career
for himself on the radio at a time when most other people would be retiring. His energy and enthusiasm
are boundless.

Happy Birthday, Frankie!

Chad, on the web site question: Probably not for now, although Frankie's shows are available on a few
external sites (see his main site at frankieday.com for the details). I suspect 103 KVE will have a web
site before either of our AM stations, but that's entirely up to Bob Stevens.

If I had one suggestion for Frankie, it would be to change the name of his non-profit
(Keep Our Oldies Alive) to Keep Our Oldies Living. Cause that would be K.O.O.L!

Clear Channel probably owns that trademark...

Speaking of oldies, while I'm home visiting family I found a long lost box of cassette tapes I had made including RD Summers and Charlie Apple from around 1993, and O'Brien and Garry on WTAE-1250 from May 1995. Once I get back home, I'll work on digitizing and posting them.
