FRANKIE MUNIZ "MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE" GOES BALLISTIC

.......and I thought Hal and Lois raised a decent Malcolm........

from zap2it.com

News broke yesterday that Frankie Muniz, previously of "Malcolm in the Middle" fame, and girlfriend Elycia Turnbow had a domestic dispute that may have involved a gun, may have involved Muniz punching and throwing Turnbow against the wall and may have involved Turnbow yelling and hitting him in the face. It became quite the he said/she said incident, but police told them if it ever happened again, they'd both go to jail.

Wednesday morning (Feb 16), the AP is reporting that Phoenix police say they removed a gun from Muniz's home. Muniz told the police the gun wasn't loaded, but the Arizona Republic is reporting that officers retrieved a gun from a closet and said that it was loaded. Perhaps there were two guns involved. Turnbow told the police she was worried Muniz might be suicidal.

When police questioned Muniz about the altercation, he said he could not have assaulted Turnbow because "[he loves] her too much. ::) She is the woman [he wants] to marry.

I hope to God he wasn't repeatedly saying "You're not the boss of me now" during all this.

He would have said it only once. Phoenix cops don't tolerate anyone mouthing off to them. If you get out of control, you get told to shut up once. Then it's a trip downtown for an overnight stay at the Arpaio Hilton if you continue to run your pie-hole. I've seen it first-hand too many times and have had to bail friends out of jail on a couple of these occasions.

Sounds like more of a chance than you'd get in Portland. Down there, the pigs would shoot you just for saying "hello" to them as you pass them walking down the street!

Come on, Darth...I SERIOUSLY doubt that has ever happened in Portland or anywhere in the USA for that matter. Are innocent people sometimes mistakenly shot by the police? Yes, it happens. But I've never heard of someone walking up to a law enforcement officer with the sole intent of exchanging pleasantries being gunned down in cold blood. If you have documented proof to the contrary, please let me know.

And "pigs"? Really? Have you been watching Dragnet or Adam-12 reruns or something?

They had a story on the local news tonight. This guy had his camera or phone taken away by
the police for recording them doing their "police work" on the sidewalk. He sued. There is
no law frobidding public camera use. The city of Atlanta settled out of court for $14,000.

I thought Portland was pretty lackadaisical when it came to most laws?
Or is there one against "hello" that has started a new "get-tough" trend or something?

I was/am being (partially) sarcastic. They probably would pump you full of lead if you flapped back to them because they "felt threatened by it". Given the rather elevated number of pig-inflicted shootings (murders) in the Portland area in recent years/months, it really wouldn't surprise me if someone did get his brains blown out for greeting a Portland Pig on the street.

Dragnet - no.
Adam-12 - never seen it.

...or, as Tom Leykis used to call it, "Porkland -- Home of The Other White Meat." ;D ...

I kinda liked "New Dragnet" and "New Adam-12" when they were on TV in the early 90's.
