Odd to see WNYP carried in Franklin, PA! From what I've read about that station, it was mainly rebroadcasting CFTO, but at times would (unintentionally) rebroadcast CKLW, WNYS, or WWTV

WNYP was an odd duck. The Buffalo stations complained about network programming being aired on a US station via CTV, and as you point out, sometimes propagation would play hob with the channel 9 signal. I've seen similar things happen on other systems. One morning I got up in Grantsville MD and channel 7, normally WTRF on their cable system, was showing WHIO from Dayton instead. WSAZ in Huntington WV once ran a crawler during the height of the e-skip season during the summer saying that atmospheric conditions were causing other stations on channel 3 to interfere with their signal, and that there was nothing they could do about it. Due to the terrain in that area, many viewers were (and still are) only able to get OTA TV stations via 1- and 2-edge propagation over the hilltops, and when the signal is that fragile, it is easily interfered with.
