Sorry to read on Scott Fybush site Fred B. Cole passed last Thursday. Fred was on 'HDH for many years, I met Fred after he retired . A nice gentleman, always smiling.I used to enjoy talking with Fred, always interesting radio stories.

Fred B was a great guy

I loved having lunch with him a McDonald's lol

And got a big kick out of him when we had him at WATD on the air and the phone went nuts.

Some of us were fortunate to see Fred B. receive his induction into the New England Radio Hall of Fame this past May.

Fred B. still had a great sense of humor and was able to hold an audience even at 92.

I grew up listening to Fred B. Cole's "Road Show" in the late 50's and 60's when the WHDH 850 AM mobile studio stationed Fred B. in the parking lots of local A&P Supermarkets. As The Boston Globe Obituary reports Fred B. was always accessable to his listeners who he would invite into the van or chat with from the sliding glass window in the van.

Fred B. Cole had a full life well lived. R. I. P.
