Fred Cohn - Developer of the WIBG Top 99 Record Survey

Fred Cohn who with station management created, printed, and distributed the weekly WIBG Top 99 Record Survey that could be found in nearly every record store in the Delaware Valley, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2006. The popularity of the "Wibbage list" as some use to call it led to a number of other radio stations hiring Fred's company to produce surveys for their stations too. According to Fred he knew "very little" about the printing business when he was approached by WIBG to develop the record surveys for the station. The success of the surveys led to other forays into the printing business. Fred and his son Jim Cohn did marketing and promotion work for Wibbage too.

Fred and Jim Cohn went on to found Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine serving the hospitality and meeting industries thoughout the mid-Atlantic region. Jim Cohn is the Publisher/Editor of the bi-monthly magazine.
