Typical morning show is what it is. The problem is that radio listeners on a whole are starting to lose interest in syndicated morning shows. Lex and Terry are OK, but people want their morning show to be reachable. The sure fire "nail in the coffin" is a syndicated morning show. Syndication is passable in a small market, but the folks in Nashville are very fickle. Think about it: Steve Gill was huge in Nashville. Partly because at the time he was the only whore at the dance, and he was local. People could see him at Kroger or at a little league game and they felt like they partly owned that show. No one really had a personal connection with B+T or any other syndicated show, aside from the occasional meet and greet. Local mornings is the way to win in Nashville. And local afternoon drive. Just a thought.
