FREE FM DIES AT 5PM TODAY

Well Tom Leykis the best of is on right now. Is it me or does Tom sound like he is ready to die? He sounds terrible terrible terrible.
 
I tuned in for a few minutes of Leykis.

Wow, he really is a pathetic figure. Dirty old loser.

I'm listening to this and Ronaldo is already better than Tom Leykis or Adam Carolla!

This market is a joke sometimes... bring back the 51 hour ticking clock.

What was really funny was a liner I heard on KTAR about "did your other station blow up today?" ;D

This sounds like the same stunt that the old V100 in Dallas, (which is a CBS station), did before they flipped to rhythmic top 40 as Hot 100. This was in 1999 and there were two hispanic sounding guys playing the same old few hip hop songs over and over.
 
Even while stunting they are still managing to get a few spots in. I haven't heard stunting this bad since KDKB decided to stunt for 3 weeks only to not change their format.

When stunting, it's usually not a good idea to drive away any possible remaining listeners. Usually you want to create a buzz, not putting on some amazingly offensive stereotypical "gay" 24 hour stunt.
 
I'm not saying this the stereotypical Free FM listener, because it's not, but I do know for a fact that there are more than a lot of teens and 20 year olds who love to listen to this station. I think what this stunt is trying to do is sound like those funny pretend radio stations that you'd hear on Grand Theft Auto Vice City or something. This would draw the younger people in for sure, but after the Paris Hilton music started to regularly be played, they blew it.... Yes, it's horrible.
 
I think this stunting is brilliant. I've heard so many lame segues into a new format over the years that this stands out as one of the better ones. It's comical to hear this guys phoners and the whole premise around paris hilton I'm sure is getting some peoples attention.
