FREE FM/hot talk

We need a station like FREE FM because we got too many music and family friendly crap aroud here. Ya we got WILK (eh i guess were getting there).

Nigelwick-
Reverse consultant thinking: Just because it flops everywhere doesn't mean it won't work here (as opposed to "it works everywhere else) ;)

I live and grew up in NYC and have worked at several NYC stations and agree NEPA would do well with a Hot Talk station.

I used to have a house up there for several years and hung out at the bars/festivals/pools/ community events and think that area would be a great place for this type of talk radio. It reminds me of NYC during the infamous Howard Stern years- late 80's/early 90's. Lots of young angry young males and very testosterone-driven. Kind of like NJ, with active/alternative rock doing really well, with some classic rock thrown in. Anyone familiar with Eddie Trunk...he should get a NEPA affiliate. He'd be a good fit.

What is WILK doing these days?

lol i guess i live in a generation X area, Eddie Trunk now does a gig on XM 41 the bone Yard

The biggest issue with "hot talk" is attracting the revenue needed to sustain it. In most cases it competes with the rock stations not the other spoken word formats.
Can anyone site one that is successful?
It shouldn't be confused with a news/talk format on FM, like WILK.
