Free-FM KIFR Falls Off Arbitron

I've checked both Radio & Records and Inside Radio websites to see the ratings for San Francisco. I thought maybe one of them made a typographical error. But neither website shows a rating for CBS' KIFR 106.9 Free-FM on their SF ratings page.

KIFR was already reeling in past books, down to a fraction of a point. But now it's actually off the chart, all 81,000 watts.

CBS' "podcast" radio station KYCY at 1550 AM is also among the VERY lowest rated stations in the SF book. It's tied with a 1000 watt Vietnamese station, KVTO 1400, even though KYCY has a 10,000 watt signal, day and night.

How could this be? How can an 81,000 watt FM station and a 10,000 watt AM station in San Francisco, both owned by CBS, virtually have NO listneners? And why would anyone advertise on such stations, unless they were only paying a dollar for a minute of airtime?

Its tough to be committed to a format when you acheive a Zero rating. I Know about the Arbitron ratings, but does ZERO count as a number not to be published?

And the only reason KYCY is showing upa t all is because of A's baseball. After the season ends... back to zero.

What do you mean they fell back to 0? They bought the station, which had been run as if its was another of FLR's 2-watt translators, with a 0 share.
