Frightening to think there's a market for this. You have to give the tip of the hat though. Sounds like they've got a 24 hour on air staff to fit the target audience. Sub-human. Mold and mildew wouldn't even listen.

The Rock audiance has been betrayed by the Suits and Ties in the business. First the Philly market looses Y-100 now YSP. What is the rock dial coming to???? The only thing left is whatever is on 93.3. Its a shame to resort to using Satellite radio to hear the type of music you enjoy, unless you are into Hip Hop or Rap, then you have the whole dial, enjoy.

My rock-loving friend.....you will NOt get any sympathy from this bunch. This is the moment they've been waiting for, besides the fact there is still no dance station here. I'm sure that is a matter of time.


Terrestrial radio is a barren wasteland for the kiddies anymore. Us old heads are relegated to CD's, satellite radio, and Music Choice.

This guy who always bashes me and the Rock format states there are 3 full time rock stations in Philly, will they ever give up...MGK and rim shot THK are chicken rock IMHO, MMR is a trainwreck. YSP was the nearest thing to Active/Hard/Alternative we had and they had to blow it up....I still want this dude to name the 3 Rockers...

Question: If I asked you to name urban stations you would rattle off a list right? and rightfully so the market is oversaturated with them...

but wouldn't you get so pissed if I was like well this isnt REALLY urban its Hurban or its Hip Hop not a rap station... It's 6 a one half a dozen of another.

That dude thinks they're rock station which by technical classification they are... but they're not YOUR rock stations... doesn't change the fact that they are in fact rock stations.

OGL is Oldies they don't play enough mo-town for me doesn't mean they aren't oldies.
