I figured it out, its free FM cause no one in their right mind would pay for it. Especially 92.3. Maybe 94.1 Free FM, but in no way 92.3 :)

I thought it was advertising the cost of a :30 (or :60) second spot...

wzlx 100.7 out of boston when I was at okemo over the weekend, the staff was telling me how much david lee Roth sucks. apparently he is really hurting wbcn's (wzlx sister station) reputation in boston. furthermore, I was hearing that cbs has taken over infinity radio (there all part of viacom I belive anyways...) about a month ago for all the bad mistakes infinity has made ie cbs-fm and free fm.

hell I do a lot less then david lee roth and I get expelled for accidentally leaving a vynel out at my college station.

There is no more Infinity--they were rebranded CBS Radio before the Viacom split. CBS Radio is no longer part of Viacom, it is part of CBS Broadcasting Inc.

I can't argue with your assessments of Jack, Free and DLR but you may be off on your corporate info.

cool thanks for clearing it up for me

Hey at least Jim Cramer will be a bright spot on a dark lineup.

Jim Cramer is getting a show on Free FM. I'm not sure if youre joking or not, but that would be interesting - I would actually listen to Free FM for something other than Penn Jillette. Wouldn't really blend in with much of the other programming, though, which mostly appeals to frat boys who probably laughed hysterically at The Man Show.

Couldn't believe it either, but appears to be true. It will run from 1-2 PM.

I've listened to Free Fm, and DLR via the web for a few weeks now. I don't think DLR is as terrile as people are saying, but that's just my view. Dave needs a good producer to keep him on track, and in control, and have him relate to his audience instead of himself. No one in his various other professions cares for him for exactlly those reasons. I also think people are expecting him to be like Howard, which he's not! I think in time, since he's new to the radio thing he MIGHT get better. We'll have to see.

Might be hard to believe, but he's better to listen to than the poor morning show we have here in Atlanta on Infinity's DAVE-Fm.

Surprising indeed. So here's muy question - does this take an hour away from JV & Elvis (essentially breaking up what I call the "Atheist Block" between them and Penn Jillette), or from David Lee Roth? Wouldn't make much of a difference to me either way - my sentiments echo everyone else about DLR as a radio personality, and JV & Elvis's humor is a bit too sophomoric for my tastes.

The local JV&E shows loses the hour as a result, not the network Roth program. By comparison, WCKG/Chicago's local midday show Stan & Terry also loses an hour, as opposed to the network (five-hour) Rover morning show.
______________
