Dog house in hot water, they have GLAAD on their asses..........So to speak, Glaad is sending out mailings about them and the show. It is starting to trickle onto other web sites around.
GLAAD, Those guys you do not want knowing who you are!.
Are you kidding? Glaad? Why because they said that someone was a ------? A British colloquialism for cigarette , Fagging - reference to a junior boy who acted as servant to a senior boy at a British independent school. “------” came to mean a tedious or labour-intensive chore, and “fagged out” to mean exhausted by hard work, ****** (food), an traditional English type of meatball , or A bundle of sticks used for firewood. This is where the world has gone nuts. In the interview that this BS took place, they told a member of a band to get out of the studio. He later returned to the Studio without being ask and said he was Bisexual, is that gay? I do not know, but the gay people think it is...this is the biggest piece of crap that GLAAD could ever come up with. First of all they never knew he was gay or bi, and only when he said he was bi did anything come of it. Is this for real......please, it's the USA, free speech for everyone..........
Listen, you're obviously a fan as am I BUT,.....when you try to uuse the rationale of " oh its what they call cigs or a pile of sticks in the UK" well;
A. we are not in the UK
B.
THAt is nowhere near what they were saying and you know it, you know what they meant and you just insult our intelligence and show yourself to be a complete brainwashed Doghouse groupie to try to say anything else.
C. Tony, you are lost......Freedom of speech seems to only be the favored argument when you or someone you want to come out victorious is using it. If it's Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Hilary Clinton, etc etc then they're opportunists etc but you side with the Doghouse so "they have the freedom to say whatever they want",........Crock.Sure they have the freedom to say whatever they want, yeah let's go with that: So then so does Glaad or whoeverr else have the right to call them on it, unfortunately.
D. "freedom of Speech is not absolute when the radio is involved for example the FCC says you cannot say the "F" one of the fabled seven dirty words, word for example, you do not have total freedom of speech and you know it, and that does not extend to "hate speech".........I AM NOT SAYING THAT THEY USED HATE SPEECH< the problem is that GLAAD IS and if you think that no one listens to that group you are incorrect. SHOULD PEOPLE LISTEN TO GLAAD? that is not the point, the point is THEY DO. Advertisers do, the media does, it could be a problem for them and if you actually were a fan you would actually acknowledge that. Again not saying that Glaad is right but they are a factor. In truth JV and Elvis went way out of bounds in the middle of the day calling the kid a "------" over and over again, it was just not smart in this current radio climate. Anyway you look at it they shoed themselves as not being ready for all of the accolades that you want to throw on them yet.
Come on man grow up, it is a decent show but they blew it, period. You can't defend them for this because if nothing else they showed the worst judgement they could have. And all of you crowing about what would happen and how much better they would do in mornings than O and A?
A. Doghouse in mornings will never happen, not in NYC. OK they did well in SF but continuously saying how much better they would be in mornings than O and A is just as silly as the people who keep trying to promote country coming back to New York on this board. Give it a rest.
B. This move proved they are not ready for mornings, they just didnt think it through. They got the gay community all up in arms, and Glaad doing mailings about them, over some unsigned band that will never go anywhere? not smart.
C. Doghouse is an ok enough show but it gets old fast because they sound like they dont hardly prep, I get the feelig they are winging it an awful lot. The same criticism some make about O and A at this point.
Again a good show that did a dumb thing, period.
