Lionel - Progressive Talk from Corporate Media

I can't believe it! A show from "corporate media" - and you approve?
And this guy is even in direct competition with Mike Malloy from Air America Radio and you are promoting him? (Gasp!)
Well, he's also in direct competition with the arch-villian Alan B. Colmes, so I guess Lionel gets points for that.
Why is it: Three progressive talk shows head to head but only after 10 pm? (Four, if you want to count Phil Hendrie, which many progressive talk stations take in that slot.)
The good news here is except from 6 am to 6 pm weekdays, progressive talk stations have a choice of at two nationally syndicated programs they can take. And, once again, at least two progressive talk stations are going head to head in three markets.

If you were in the middle of the Ocean on a small inflated life raft that could hold only you and one other person, and you saw Alan Colmes and Rush Limbaugh in the water. Which would you save?

Limbaugh - he has a lot more money to pay as a reward.

I have always liked Lionel, although he sounds a lot like Joe Pesci. :)

Rush. He is more likely to be buoyant, and all that hot air can keep you warm on cold nights. Also, sharks will not eat Rush Limbaugh. Not enough good meat there.

Do I have to save one?

Good choice. Also, if you pulled in Alan, Rush would pull one, the other or both of you out and take the raft himself. Alan, on the other hand, would be nice about being left in the water.

I don't understand your post. You are asuming all three shows are basically the same. Mike Malloy is a fire-breathing, angry, as far left as Savage is right talk host with some temper issues. He serves a very niche, but loyal fan base. You have Alan Colmes which is left-light and sort of a kiss-ass to anyone who opens a Mic on his show. Very fluff talk radio. Then Lionel. You cannot pidgeon hole him at all whether you like him or not. He talks about all kinds of various topics, many times non-political, and loves to talk about legal issues as he is a former prosecutor.

It seems we get so label intensive it is rather sickening at times. Left versus right. Please, it does get a little deeper then that.
