I once played around with Music Gen Lite but didn't get on with it - I was given this code in case it asked for one:

It may help.

just out of curiosity has anyone got it to work under Vista? I've heard of a couple of problems with the database side.

Also, does anyone know what database they used. I was thinking it may be an encrypted SQLite but not sure. Not been able to open it in anything I have.

I can't seem to get it to work under Win2000. Clicking on the executable shows that it starts to install, then nada. In Task Manager it says it's running, but I'll be darned if I can find anywhere where it's at.

Does anyone know the path where it's suppose to be installing?

Anyone know if this version has the "export as m3u" feature? That's what I need and can't seem to find.

Yes it does. I don't have it installed currently but IIRC you'll need to go into the playlist export section, then to the screen where you designate what fields go in what columns and check the "create M3U" box.

Anyone ever interface this with an Audiovault or Otsdj?

If your automation system can import from a text file it can be done. You configure MG to export the info your automation system needs.

Yes, getting it to work with SS32 version 5 was hairy, simply because of the Merge32 software...but I had it merging into AV express, as well. Blech.

Well, when I go into config, there is no box to check for M3U export. ??? I must have the wrong version, but I thought I got it from a link on here. Anyone know where the right one might be?

I have version 2.1.0.33 and it's on the "Music Load File Configuration" screen. Click config, then double click on station, then Export Format. You'll need to create a new format if none exists. That step brings up the screen to select M3U playlists.

Rob, do you have a copy of that version handy? The one downloadable on the board is the .09 version I have, which won't export m3u logs. I'd be ever grateful! (I thought I had that version too, but must have thought I had a newer, better version & dumped it.)

Hi,
same issue here, my copy does not have the option for exporting .m3u files. Any recent news? I downloaded the software form the link here in the forum.

Thank you
