Well, Paul. There isn't much to say.
It was a pack of confused, left-leaning (primarily) UOM students holed up in a house in the University area. They had a mish-mash of music, and leftist canned programming.
It was fairly organized in the world of microradio. They had shifts and a basic program schedule. It wasn't more than a few watts, I'm sure. I could just barely pick it up in Germantown when the wind was blowing in the right direction.
I met one of the crew once. A poor misguided young redhead who believed that the First Amendment allowed them free rein to do as they please on the airwaves. She was scared, as the Feds had already threatened jail time if they raided, so she was wandering the halls of the law school looking for help. I explained to her she was wrong on the 1st Amendment issue, since the Supreme Court settled that long ago, and that she should be concerned. She shook her head and walked away; the issues were way over her raven head.
Not long later, Federal Marshals showed upo and carted the station's equipment away. And, as they say, "there ends the story."
