Free Radio Mt. Wolf Needs Imaging

Hello everyone,
A friend told me to come here to seek some advice. It's great to be in the company of so many great radio enthusiasts! Free Radio Mt. Wolf was created by myself 3 years ago with a vision of commercial free music with extreme variety. We have been well received by the community and have had lots of positive feedback. We operate 24/7 on 95.3 FM with low power, servicing all of Mt. Wolf and some of the Manchester area. However, at this point I'd like to spice things up a bit and take the station in a new direction. We've been running like a jukebox with no sweepers or imaging this whole time, so if someone could perhaps volunteer their voiceover/production services, or provide them very cheaply it would be very much appreciated. Please e-mail at radiofreemtwolf.yahoo.com if you can help. Thanks!

Greg

Re: Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in The Park!

Hey Everyone!
I've found a production guru and we'll have some nice sweepers in the works soon. Also, I wanted to invite all of you to our annual celebration of free radio and alternative lifestyles- The Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in the Park, taking place Sat. April 8th,(weather permitting)in Mt. Wolf park. We'll be broadcasting live, have plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers, and balloons for the kids. Bum Bum the clown will be there doing facepainting and we'll have volleyball, softball, sack races, and more! We'll be raising up donations for the Northeastern Regional Police and Mt. Wolf Fire Dept. with a bake sale too, so please help us out if you can.

sincerely,
Greg

Will you also be sending an invitation to the FCC?

Re: Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in The Park!

FCC? Sure they can also attend. We'll be happy to have those fine federal agents at our little banquet. They have nothing to contest here, after all we are serving our community well and not creating any interference on our frequency. We are community backed and have friends in the press. I look forward to our little meet and greet!

Once again...I have intercepted secret information. Take a look:

NOTICE OF UNLICENSED OPERATION

Case Number: EB-06-PA-069

Document Number: W20060313001

The Philadelphia Office received information that an unlicensed broadcast
radio station on 95.3 MHz was allegedly operating in Mount Wolf,
Pennsylvania. On February 25, 2006, agents from this office confirmed by
direction finding techniques that radio signals on frequency 95.3 MHz were
emanating from the property of Greg in Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania.
The Commission's records show that no license was issued for operation of
a broadcast station on 95.3 MHz at this location in Mount Wolf,
Pennsylvania.

Radio stations must be licensed by the FCC pursuant to 47 U.S.C. S 301.
The only exception to this licensing requirement is for certain
transmitters using or operating at a power level or mode of operation that
complies with the standards established in Part 15 of the Commission's
rules, 47 C.F.R. SS 15.1 et seq. The field strength of the signal on
frequency 95.3 MHz was measured at 753,200 uV/m at 125.7 meters, which
exceeded the maximum permitted level of 250 microvolts per meter (uV/m) at
10 meters for non-licensed devices. Thus, this station is operating in
violation of 47 U.S.C. S 301.

You are hereby warned that operation of radio transmitting equipment
without a valid radio station authorization constitutes a violation of the
Federal laws cited above and could subject the operator to severe
penalties, including, but not limited to, substantial monetary fines, in
rem arrest action against the offending radio equipment, and criminal
sanctions including imprisonment. (see 47 U.S.C. SS 401, 501, 503 and
510).

UNLICENSED OPERATION OF THIS RADIO STATION MUST BE DISCONTINUED
IMMEDIATELY.

You have ten (10) days from the date of this notice to respond with any
evidence that you have authority to operate granted by the FCC. Your
response should be sent to the address in the letterhead and reference the
listed case and document number. Under the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. S
552a(e)(3), we are informing you that the Commission's staff will use all
relevant material information before it to determine what, if any,
enforcement action is required to ensure your compliance with FCC Rules.
This will include any information that you disclose in your reply.

You may contact this office if you have any questions.

Alternative lifestyles???????

Re: Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in The Park!

This is why the message board is so frequently disappointing to me. Here we have a guy named "Dick" throwing a gay picnic with "sack" races, "hot dogs" and "Bum Bum The Clown", we've got punch line potential flying off the charts, and Sam defecates all over it with a long-winded, meandering facsimile of FCC legalese.

A joke is a terrible thing to waste.

I was curious as to whether or not this whole posting was a hoax and a big joke. I decided to pass through Mount Wolf on my way to York this evening to see for myself. The station actually is there. He was playing a river-like classic rock format. The guy must either be really confident or really stupid to post here.

I had an alternitive lifestyle in a park one night. And yes, I got sacked.I can't remember if there was a clown or not, but I digress. No agents showed up to frisk me. (these were the George Michael years of my youth)

Sounds like a hell of a party......Thinkingman, can you bring the cheez whiz ??

Re: Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in The Park!

I'm very sorry to say that the Free Radio Mt. Wolf Picnic in the Park did not take place due to the bad weather this past Saturday, but the FCC did in fact send some of their agents out to attend. Free Radio Mt. Wolf was viciously attacked without provacation or warning. My house was violently searched and molested by the FCC and my equipment and computers were dismantled and hauled away. Ugh! I just want to scratch someone's eyes out! :( Why you broadcast types felt threatened I'll never know. Free Radio Mt. Wolf was a beacon of free speech and great music for the community. You took away a shimmer of hope for alternative lifestyle influenced broadcasting, the first of it's type around here! It is silenced but will never be forgotten.

Sincerely,
Greg
