Free Speech used to be worshiped!

What a tragic day in the history of this country. Don Imus was an entertainment genius who was lynched by a group of charletons and spagetti spined executives.

Imus was being Imus. He was saying what a lot of people thought. I wasn't meant to be hurtful it was meant to be comical. But the likes of Sharpton and Jackson saw an opportunity to pounce and a chance to shake down another corporation and didn't hesitate. It had nothing to do with the women at Rutgers, it had everything to do with pushing an agenda and making a buck. I am so sad.

The state of race relations was pushed back ten years. Truth became a casualty and honor never got near the boardrooms of CBS and NBC. An pox on all of your houses.

America deserves better and if our media won't demand it who will? Is ther any finer example of lilly livered friends then David Gregory? He'd sell out his momma for a buck!

Imus' biggest "complaint" about friends in the final day was Harold Ford deserting him.

Questions to you: How low do you want "the bar" to go in good taste in broadcasting (i.e. racial, sexist remarks)? What is the lowest common denominator? Do we want to self-police ourselves (with maybe a uniform code of ethics such as reporters have) or would you prefer the government do it for us with strict FCC guidelines (some Democrats and George Soros are calling for it)? Or would you prefer it to be just the wild, wild west...winner take all (pretty close to that now, don't you think)?

Free speech is still worshipped.

The government has done nothing to Imus. He's not in jail..he hasn't been fined...nothing was done to him. Free speech is alive and well. The First Amendment has NOTHING to do with this.

We all have the right to say what we want. We do not have the right to be heard.

Wait a few weeks and see how this all settles once everyone has moved on to the next crisis du jour. Evvvvverybody is going to be fiiiiine. Just relax a bit.
