FREE WEB RADIO TOOLBAR - OVER 100 STATIONS

Ummm....promoting the same product in both the header and body of not one, but TWO posts is SPAM IMHO. Even if it is "free". Nothing that REQUIRES a download is actually FREE because you pay in computer performance and privacy.

With all the crap you have to download weekly to keep your computer halfway relevant in compatibility and security and all the extra memory that takes over time, you really don't need too much extra garbage sucking any more life out of your CPU and available RAM than you really must. Computers are still expensive you know.

Forget toolbars, try V-Tuner. Yeah, it's promoting a free 30 Day demo BUT you can also get connected to the stations directly from their web site for FREE. WITHOUT having to download anything at all.

http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/ Some British webcasters have stopped streaming outside of the UK-I say some because many stations still do webcast worldwide without filters in spite of the bonehead "copyright" laws both here in the US and in the UK. But for those British broadcasters who were scared into actually complying with this UK-only webcasting law they have, the workaround for the rest of us is simply by going through a UK proxy server. I'm sure it will be proven such a disaster in the UK that it will be overturned inevitably so we can all enjoy UK radio again like Captial Gold, LBC and others outside of the Beeb.

Besides, I'm suspicious of toolbars. As The Dude mentioned, they're more of a headache and a speed/memory hog than an actual convenience.

The big question is why does anybody even bother to promote these crummy toolbars instead of web radio portals? There are many good one like vtuner, Live365, Shoutcast, etc. Why polute your computer with yet another toolbar?

Personally I'm leary about about "add-on" software.
