FREEBIE DSP PLUG-INS

Hi guys!

I've developed a few useful DSP plug-ins lately, and I'm releasing them completely free of charge!

Naturally, they're designed for Breakaway Broadcast and Breakaway Live, but they may be used with any compatible plug-in host -- a lot of radio-related software supports DSP plug-ins.

The plug-ins are (so far):

Impact/Clunk - a phase rotator designed to emulate the "slam" a very popular brand of FM processors makes on transients. It adds add a sense of punch even to densely processed signals which cannot really be achieved in any other way.

Phase Tornado - a phase rotator designed to emulate the *long* impulse response of a particular 31-band processor. Check it out, it's scarily accurate. Most will hate it, but I'm a firm believer in the "ass for every seat" theory -- someone will like it ;).

Last, but not least:

BASS-EFX - This brand new innovative bass enhancer adds an unthinkable thud / slam to the music, and gives you a very round, full bass, previously unattainable! It is not an equalizer. It does not boost the bass, and it is not a subharmonic syntherizer, but rather it intelligently restructures and realigns the components of the bass waveform for maximum impact.

The plug-ins can be downloaded here: http://www.claessonedwards.com/plugins

Looking forward to your comments and opinions!

Best,
///Leif

My apologies! I have completely neglected to update the e-mail address on my account.

I've updated it now -- please try again. If there's any further problems, you can always send a personal message on the board too.

Best,

Good stuff! I'm not too well versed on what phase rotation does (my Orban cards have a setting for it but the manual says not to turn it on?) but your DSP plug sounds great in the chain after the Orban!

EDIT: to be fair to Bob, this is what the manual says:

Phase Rotator determines if the phase rotator will be in-circuit. The purpose of the
phase rotator is to make voice waveforms more symmetrical. Because it can slightly
reduce the clarity and definition of program material, we recommend leaving it OUT
unless program material is mainly speech, where it may result in cleaner sound because
it can substantially reduce the amount of gain reduction that OPTIMOD-PC’s
look-ahead limiter produces on speech waveforms.
