Did you hear the CPAC coverage Sunday afternoon from the Real American Voice network?
Some of their programming duplicates WGKA's which might be a problem.
I kind of thought there might be room for another conservative talker now that WGST went BIN.

From what I can see, they've been on the air for about a week. Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see any duplication with The Answer. They're carrying a lot of the third and fourth rate syndicated conservative talk shows.

Steve Bannon, John Fredericks, Dave Ramsey, Mark Levin, Doug Collins, John B. Wells, a few others.

They simulcasted Armed American Radio last night with WGKA. But that program is barter so it really doesn't matter.
Dave Ramsey and Mark Levin are top 10 talkers. Doug Collins is a former senatorial candidate from GA. He's the one who diluted the conservative vote causing a runoff between Loeffler and Warnock.
The American Voice Radio Network has been around awhile. The were once home to a number of SW talkers and is still syndicating Wendy Wilson's show on WWCR.

A little more detail in this story. Apparently the previous owner JW Broadcasting DONATED the station to Delmarva Educational Association, and the new licensee entered into a joint marketing agreement with John Frederick's network. So I guess Frederick is leasing time on the station. Might be the same with Dave Ramsey.

I bet there are a bunch of other similar AMs around the country he could do this with if he so desires. I know of a couple in LA right now.

John Fredericks tried his format on 1650 AM in Norfolk; his morning show was even carried on a metro DC AMer. He kept his content mostly Virginia-oriented. The conservative talk format ultimately failed as WNIS was just too big of a presence in Hampton Roads.

Delmarva Educational Assn is associated with Salem... so it may not matter to them if some programs overlap with The Answer. Delmarva's president (Stuart W. Epperson Jr.) is the son of Salem chairman Stuart W. Epperson, and nephew to CEO Ed Atsinger III.

Delmarva recently acquired a station in ABQ from the Clear Channel Aloha Trust.

I'm pretty sure the AM John Fredrick owns used to belong to one of the Epperson's, individually if not Truth themselves

Yes. WJFN AM and FM were owned by the Delmarva Educational Assn. in the past. The AM from 2011 until 2020.

The FM is a little more interesting. It was owned by DEA 2011-2016, when it was sold to EMF (K-Love). In 2018, EMF sold to Truth Broadcasting - whose president is ... Stuart W. Epperson Jr.

So Delmarva Educational Association is a for-profit entity?

You make me wonder where the money's coming from to do this in Atlanta.

Well, how much does it cost to run the station? It was donated to the present owner, and John Fredericks probably pays to have his show aired. For all I know, Doug Collins might also. Probably the cost of electricity and 1 or 2 low-paid employees.

I do see that Delmarva Educational Association is a non-profit organization. Not sure what that really means.

That's what I mean. Where are they getting the money. Certainly not advertising. Is a PAC involved?

Fredericks can fundraise on the AJC piece to buy the station. Fredericks.jpg

They're always off air early Monday mornings for maintenance. Even when they were oldies.
You need some off time just to clean air filters, etc.
