Freedom Radio FM

Someone told me tropo has been pretty good, so I went to my car the other night and was surprised when I heard Christian radio "Freedom Radio FM" on 97.5 instead of 97-5 WABB (Mobile, AL).

According to their website http://freedomradiofm.com/, they're all over the place in many states around the country. In New Orleans, they're on three different frequencies:

North New Orleans 89.5
Chalmette (Downtown New Orleans) 97.5
Chalmette (West New Orleans) 104.9

Anyone know more about this and when they popped up here in the city?

Jeremy

Most of the Licenses are dated within past two weeks (September 14th) So my guess was then.

89.5 is K208FC and was just granted on the 15th of this month to rebroadcast WLOG apparently after being moved around a bit in the area from what I can tell

97.5 is K248BB and supposedly rebroadcast K-Love on the frequency until recently (as a permit to modify the license was accepted on September 15th also.

104.9 is supposed to be rebroadcasting a station out of Georgia and is currently licensed to Chalmette but the signal is actually in NOLA proper. A construction permit has been filed to moved it to more powerful digs out in Metry

Other than more research on the FCC website can't help you currently
