FreeFM Site is up

...and is showing Tom Leykis on the schedule from 3 PM to 8 PM, John & Jeff from 11 PM to 3 AM, with Adam Carolla and Penn Jillette coming in January.

I wonder if we'll hear Leykis soon (today, perhaps?):

>
Beginning today, KIFR, WYSP and KPLN will convert to FREE FM programming offering listeners a combination of powerhouse local and national personalities (see separate releases for complete lineups). WXRK, the flagship station for the David Lee Roth Show, will debut FREE FM on the station in conjunction with Roth's premiere in January 2006. Current Infinity stations in Los Angeles (KLSX-FM), Chicago (WCKG-FM), Dallas (KLLI-FM), Washington, D.C. (WJFK-FM), Detroit (WKRK-FM) and Baltimore (WHFS-FM) have all been rebranded FREE FM as of today.
>

And why, if she's already signed, isn't Darian O'Toole listed on the site?

I also wonder how they plan to fill the gaps in programming until January -- Don Imus in the morning? Bill O'Reilly's "Radio Factor"? (Wow! Didn't know my gag reflex would kick in so easily.)

Note that if you click on the "Coming Jan.: Adam Carolla Penn Jillette" logo, you go direct to CBS/Infinity's website:

http://www.infinitybroadcasting.com/freefm/station_map.php

...which has a map that shows what stations will be "Free" and who will be on them. For example, "New York - WXRK FM 92.3 - David Lee Roth, Penn Jillette."

The post-Howard Era is almost upon us.

Look for the Doghouse to be on 106.9 till Jan, then they will move to Alice(after they flip their format). Then Carolla will be on 106.9 and Sarah and No-Name will move to Live 105.

Also, look for John London, Dennis Cruz and Chris Townsend(the old KNBR morning Show) to be involved in 106.9.

Starting when, 007? And is CBS really going to play musical chairs like this?

* Doghouse starts on 106.9 for two months (or less) doing nothing but talk (no music) in the morning, then moves to 97.3 which flips to playing -- gee, don't tell me -- CHR.

* Sarah and No Name play out the string on Alice, then go to Live 105.

* 106.9 starts with Doghouse, then goes to Carolla, with John London doing some other shift -- mid-mornings? evenings?

Actually, stare at it long enough and (if your mind doesn't go numb) it makes sense in some insane way. Except for the Doghouse part.

One last question, 007: who is your source?

I had been listening until a bit before 9 AM, then tuned over to Howard ... and missed it.

I'm recording now, but I'm also trying to force down my second breakfast of the day.

Question: when you're eating crow, do the rules say you have to eat the feathers, too?

What makes more sense is this:

* Doghouse does AM drive until Carolla shows up in January.
* Doggies move to late mornings after Carolla, compressing everyone else down the schedule. (Until then, the shows following the Doggies will be longer than normal.)

Who knows about Live 105.3? Infinity's release says Stern's hole will be filled with a music-intensive morning show, but doesn't say who (or what team) will host it.

I just don't see putting the Doggies on 106.9, and going through the trouble of moving them to another station in 2 months.
