FReepers respond to Graham (WTKK)

Some reaction to Michael Graham from the "Mass. community" page of Free
Republic, a conservative message board. There was concern about him talking about "rainbow parties" for teens (oral sex, basically). For the record Hannity also had brought up that topic before, but gave plenty of warning "in case you have kids in the car, this may be graphic..."

excerpts:

"..it was enough for me to change the channel to Howie's show..."

"It was refreshing to hear some sanity about what we are accomplishing in Iraq."

"Michael Graham on tkk again! Cover your kids ears!"

"Are they giving him a tryout? I like what I'm hearing so far."

"Who is this dope on 96.9 TTK. I was looking forward to listening to Sean this afternoon!"

No D.C. ratings, cruddy history in small southern markets. This fits WTKK?

Well, maybe the "press" about him being thrown off might have invited
some curious listeners to check him out. I will say that he has a more
energetic sounding voice (sim. to that of Hannity) than the more laid
back Severin.

how much Boston "press" did his D.C. firing get?? How many listeners have a clue about him?

I don't follow Mike Graham...but he was has not appeared on Eye on Washington (sunday pundit show) as a pundit after his firing...if you want to check out his apperances to get a feel for his broadcasts and beliefs and ability to discuss the issues....WETA, i believe, still has posts to archives of the show....or at least transcripts.

The show is normally viewed on WGBH 44 (not 2) sundays at 8:30am

That's why he's getting tried out--though some may have known about the Graham
firing from conservative messageboards and bloggers. When Brian from Radio Equalizer appeared on WRKO's Sunday night blogger show, he revealed that WMAL
had fired Graham for his comments.

Well, they have a week to find out about him...next week, Monica Crowley will have a tryout in that slot according to the "Names" page of today's Globe.

I'm hardly a leftist, and those people give me nightmares. I don't think you want to program to the near-fascist wingnuts on FR. If I were Paula, I'd do the opposite.
