Freeport Maine FM Bandscan

Before I forget, the AM Bandscan post will follow this one :) Took a trip up to Maine this week and just came back today. Beautiful weather with only yesterday (Thursday) raining. We stayed at The Maine Idyll Motor Court which are cabins/cottages north of Freeport ME. Great place but sadly next to I-295 but that doesn't bother me. I logged this scan outside on the porch with my Tecsun PL 390 with just the whip antenna. The wire antenna wasn't helping at all. I noticed that there was a ton of interference on the AM band because they put LED lights everywhere among other sources of interference but I did the best I could. Freeport is weird for dxing and scanning the bands. The elevation of the transmitters and locations often kill signals over 20 miles away unless they have lots of power behind them. I logged this the first night I was there around 8-9PM Sunday June 24th. Mileage has a 5 mile margin of error.
I grade the signals
1. Very Weak/Barely receivable
2. Weak but audible
3. So-So Some hiss
4. Fairly Strong
5. Local or In like a Local
88.1 WMEY Bowdoin ME 18 Miles Away Contemporary Christian 100 Watts (2)
88.3 WYAR Cousins Island ME 6 Miles Away Nostalgia 1,000 Watts (3)
88.5 WRKJ Gorham ME 23 Miles Away Christian 2,000 Watts (2-3) Signal Meter seemed off, I was receiving it a lot better than what it indicated
88.9 WMDR Paris ME 32 Miles Away Gospel 100,000 Watts (5)
89.3 WMSJ Falmouth ME 12 Miles Away K-Love 14,000 Watts (4-5)
89.7 WTBP Boothbay ME 24 Miles Away Religious 10,500 Watts (3)
90.1 WMEA Sebago ME 30 Miles Away NPR 24,500 Watts (5) NPR Is great, but, it is so refreshing to only hear a couple NPR stations on the dial. In Connecticut, almost all the non commercial part of the FM band are NPR signals.
90.5 WMEP Rockport ME 54 Miles Away NPR 2,000 Watts (2)
90.9 WMPG Falmouth ME 13 Miles Away University of Southern Maine 4,500 Watts (5)

92.7 WEZR Greenwood ME 40 Miles Away Hot AC 5,200 Watts (3-4) For me as a NASCAR fan, this station is big for me up there. It is now one of the very few signals left in ME that air NASCAR races (Didn't check 95.3 but it was airing races last year) Not sure but I believe WESR only now airs PRN races which luckily for me, It was one of those weekends that it was on PRN. It is a pretty good signal. I was listening to it from just North of Portland to our destination on my pair of 3m Worktunes bluetooth AM FM headphones. Sure, there was picket fencing especially off the highway driving through downtown Freeport but it was certainly listenable.

94.9 WHOM Mount Washington NH 66 Miles Away Adult Contemporary 48,000 Watts (5) Yes, it's far away BUT, it's on the tallest peak in New England and it has a massive range.
95.3 WTBU York ME 52 Miles Away Country 1,450 Watts (1) 95.5 was trying to overtake it but it was managing to come in, very weak but better than I remember which is a true testament to The PL 390.
