Freestyle returns to KTU

Notice a good amount of Freestyle is on rotation. Perhaps the reason is that it's freestyle concert season?

Well......Party 105 is having a freestyle concert over at the Brookhaven Ampitheater.

Not that Party 105 can really bite into 'KTU's audience since they only cover Suffolk terrestrially, but the fact that freestyle still has strength amongst its core fans...add TO the fact that you have Judy Torres ON 'KTU, that's why they "blinked". I can see why 'KTU took off freestyle for a while, but for the audience that they serve (mainly women above 35) that grew up with it during their clubbing days it made sense for 'KTU to put it back.

I caught Party 105's freestyle mix show last night. Nice that they're still playing freestyle. They probably angered the freestyle fans last year by pulling it from Beatstock, at least now they're throwing a freestyle concert.

I remember a year or two ago I attended a freestyle concert at the Sun National Bank arena in Trenton. It was packed to capacity. KTU and Pulse 87 promoted it in NYC and Wired 96.5 and z88.9 promoted it in Philly. So many people came all the way from NY because the train to NYC after the concert was packed, past midnight on a Saturday.

This just goes to show that people still love their freestyle even in 2012
