FreeVee FAST channel, R.I.P.

Also being discussed here:

I considered FreeVee and said no. I haven't subscribed to anything. I wouldn't subscribe to FreeVee because I had to sign up for it. Screw em.
I never considered the Pay TV forum because FreeVee is streamed over the internet and is free to the user. Sorry for the duplication, I only use Amazon occasionally, strictly for music and book purchases. Plex, Tubi and LocalNow, all of which require no signup, give me all the FAST channels I want, so no need to sign up for the ad-supported Prime Video.

BTW, FreeVee continues to stream on Xfinity's Flex service, with the same lineup of channels that supposedly have been folded into Prime Video. No registration needed. We'll see how long this lasts. (Flex, in case you're not familiar with it, is a suite of apps for users who don't subscribe to Xfinity for their phone/internet service. For example, it gives you YouTube and Prime Video as apps, but you can't order merchandise from Amazon from your TV or visit websites like this one,)

Well...I guess if I'm to continue watching Designated Survivor reruns on its own dedicated channel (Which as far as I can tell & know) you can only find on Freevee), I guess I'm going to HAVE to pay for Prime Video (You just KNEW that once Amazon got its greedy hands on it, it was too good to be true)

That's incorrect. Read the article.
Freevee content will be available in the Amazon Prime app and viewable without a subscription.

Well that's great to hear they're just merging Freevee & Prime Video into one rather than simply killing one in lieu of the other (Which I wouldn't have put past Amazon to do) 😁
