French station on 104.1 FM

I was out at the beach a few weeks ago, and was fiddling with the radio. I heard an acadian station on 104.1, and it was competing with our local 104.1 FM in Boston. I think it was from Nova Scotia, because I heard Saulnierville and Yarmouth being mentioned. I don't think CJLS is french.

It would probably depend on conditions. We had a very strong opening on September 19rh to NS, NB, and I even heard 2 stations from NF! This might have been the same night you heard CIFA? We've had a couple openings to that area since then also, but not quite as good.

I remember getting Magic 94.9 on Long Island that day, that was my longest tropo catch ever.
There was not a cloud in the sky, and the tropo was booming in all day. I got 94.5 PST stronger in Long Island than I normally get at my home in NJ. I got stations from Virginia to Nova Scotia!
I also fiddle with the radio when I'm at the beach, you get really good tropo.
